Review of the Netflix series Santo, Six-episode new thriller-crime series called SANTO is available on Netflix. Be prepared for the brutality of it from the start. In the story, a criminal lord participates in sacrifices and rites associated with Satan.
A brand-new thriller, action, crime, and drama series on Netflix is called SANTO. Given that the plot unfolds in both nations, it seems sense that it is a co-production between Spain and Brazil for Netflix.
The title refers to a drug dealer—more of a criminal lord—whose identity is so shrouded in mystery that no one has ever seen his face. However, he has a sizable following and is renowned as a guru and criminal. And by the conclusion of the first episode, you’ll realise how vicious he is.

A sinister twist on a crime drama
There is also a Satanic twist, as if a thriller with a criminal plot involving the trafficking of both persons and drugs weren’t enough. Santo, the criminal lord, engages in ceremonies in which children are discovered dismembered. The first episode reveals that the child’s body’s components are entirely present. all but the brain!
This is a compact crime-thriller, and the whole superstition of human sacrifice in Satanic rituals is a terrific element. Due of its brutality, it will clearly not be for everyone. Be prepared for a lot of really blunt visuals since it’s a Spanish-Brazilian production.
Several renowned faces
The Brazilian major character of Cardona is portrayed by Bruno Gagliasso, while the Spanish main character is played by Ral Arévalo. Both are officers of the law pursuing Santo. The sci-fi drama Loop from 2020 also starred Bruno Gagliasso.
Other important characters are performed by Maarten Dannenberg (Silencio), Victoria Guerra (Auga Seca), and Greta Fernández. I won’t go into much detail about them here to avoid spoilers (HBO series 30 Coins).
